2024 Year Review: Transforming Job Connections with AI Software

What a year it’s been for Tech Career Bridge!

As we look back on the past twelve months, we’re excited to share the journey we’ve taken and hint at what’s on the horizon.

At our core, we are focused on connecting people to jobs. We started the year focused on finding better ways to connect newcomers and career transitioners to meaningful opportunities in Regina. What began as community-driven meetups has evolved into developing AI-driven software focused on matching individuals’ unique skills to careers and jobs. This software has evolved into a product called the TCBLauncher platform which will be released in January 2025. We already have clients that will be using the software to to connect people to jobs and the momentum just keeps growing.

Expanding Our Reach and Partnerships

Our mission—empowering communities, educational institutions, and industry partners to create more accessible and meaningful career connections—found new heights this year. In addition to continuing our strong meetup traditions, we’re thrilled about the partnerships we’ve formed:

  • Suncrest College: Together, we’re enhancing career pathways by integrating our platform into their career services, ensuring students have easier access to local opportunities.
  • Southeast Sask Economic Partnership: By collaborating with this regional network, we’re bolstering local workforce development, making it easier for individuals to match their transferrable skills to job opportunities and providing upskilling for career transitions.
  • Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan: Our work with Sask Sport focuses on supporting Game Plan, powered by Deloitte—Canada’s total athlete wellness program. Designed to help Saskatchewan’s national team athletes live more holistic lives, Game Plan emphasizes health, education, career opportunities, skill development, and strong networks. Together, we’re helping athletes transition their high-performance skills into sustainable career paths, ensuring they remain leaders both inside and outside the sporting arena.
  • Ministry of Immigration and Career Training: We helped the Ministry leverage advanced AI at job fairs, instantly matching skilled newcomers and job seekers with employers offering relevant opportunities. This targeted, data-driven approach not only streamlines the hiring process but also supports Saskatchewan’s inclusive economic growth.

We’re also happy to share that we’ve been accepted into the Made In Saskatchewan Technology Program from Innovation Saskatchewan. Through this program, we have been able to reach more communities and deliver even greater impact, ensuring that our technology-driven solution continues to evolve and support Saskatchewan’s economic landscape.

Building the Tools to Make Connections Easier

This year, we poured our efforts into developing our software platform, refining features based on user feedback. The TCBLauncher tool offers a streamlined interface that benefits everyone in the ecosystem—employers, educators, service providers, and job seekers—by reducing barriers, saving time, and delivering targeted connections. The result is a more intuitive, accessible, and data-driven approach to matching talent with opportunity.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we set our sights on the coming year, we remain committed to continuous improvement and meaningful growth:

  • Advanced Matching Technology: Expect more personalization, ensuring job seekers find roles that align closely with their skills and aspirations, and that employers can pinpoint the right candidates faster and more accurately.
  • Wider Community Impact: We aim to broaden our geographic and sectoral reach, making Tech Career Bridge a cornerstone of talent development and economic prosperity across Saskatchewan and beyond.
  • Empowering Partners and Users: We’re dedicating resources to give our partners—educators, institutions, and industry leaders—greater control over their talent pipelines, ensuring that our platform remains responsive and impactful.
