Event Highlights

1. Engaging Guest Speaker:

Christa Grad, director of Consulting from CGI was our guest speaker. Christa provided an in-depth overview of CGI’s activities, shared her personal experiences with the company, and outlined the process for how others can join this leading tech firm. Her presentation offered great insights into the inner workings of CGI and the opportunities available within the organization. She volunteered her time and stuck around for an hour and half after the presentation to answer everyone’s questions. All this, AND she brought cookies and donuts! Thanks again Christa.

2. Interactive Q&A Session:

Following the presentation, we hosted an interactive Q&A session. Attendees had the opportunity to ask their questions directly Christa, gaining personalized advice and practical tips. This lead to great discussion and insights from other professionals in the audience from companies like Melcher Studios, Variable Hub, Laroye AI, and the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

3. Networking Opportunities:

Our meetups are designed to facilitate meaningful connections, and the July 31st event was no exception. Attendees had ample time to network with peers, industry professionals, and Tech Career Bridge staff. These interactions build a supportive community where job seekers can share experiences, offer mutual support, and uncover new opportunities.

4. Career Assessment Tool Demonstration:

A special segment of the meetup was dedicated to showcasing our innovative Career Assessment tool. This tool supports job seekers in skill assessment, job search, and job matching, aiming to help them find local jobs faster!  Attendees were given the opportunity to use the tool highlighting its features and benefits.

The Impact

The success of this meetup underscores Tech Career Bridge Network’s mission to connect people to jobs and enhance economic opportunities. By bringing together newcomers, industry experts, and our dedicated team, we are fostering a community that supports career growth and innovation.
